The Code of Safe Working Practices
Seafarers, like shore workers, have the right and expectation to remain safe at work. Employers and the Company must ensure the health, safety, and welfare at work of all seafarers and other workers on board. Seafarers must take reasonable care for their own occupational health and safety and that of others, and cooperate with their employer and the Company on matters of health, safety, and welfare.
A strong safety culture—where everyone takes responsibility for a safe working environment and looks after themselves and one another—prevents many work‑related accidents and incidents.
