**The Second Steward(ess) has the following duties and responsibilities:**

- To learn, understand and apply the Yacht Procedures, ISM, Captain's Standing Orders.
- To participate actively to safety trainings organized by the Chief Officer/Safety Officer.
- Assist the Chief Steward(ess) in the day-to-day running of the interior department, supporting the cleanliness and general upkeep of all public areas, passenger accommodation, dining areas and public rooms, including the maintenance of fabric and materials.
- Supervise the junior interior crew under the direction of the Chief Steward(ess), allocate daily tasks, and assist in their training and development.
- Assist in maintaining proper stowage and issuance of linen and working stores.
- Support the laundry service, help maintain the laundry in a clean and orderly state, and report any faults or damage to equipment to the Chief Steward(ess).
- Assist with the inventory of cleaning materials, stationery, office and other interior supplies.
- Liaise closely with the galley to ensure high levels of food and service.
- To receive and follow training provided in food and personal hygiene and food handling and storage, and to support all crew members in adherence to the required standards when preparing, serving and storing food.
- Assist in ensuring all crew and guest fridge and freezer temperatures are recorded daily.
- Ensure the interior team are properly presentable as required by their duties and report to the Chief Steward(ess) any medical condition which could be transmitted to guests.
- Assist all guests in cases of emergency.
- Assist the Chief Steward(ess) in maintaining up to date records for all guests and crew, including medical histories, next of kin details and other relevant information.
